So where exactly are you going? And where is Copenhagen?

The most frequently asked question we've received about our trip is this one: "Where in the world is Copenhagen?"

Copenhagen is the capital city of Denmark with a population of 5.7MM people.  Even though the official language is Danish, most of the friendly people there also speak English.  It is located in the southern part of Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway and Sweden) in Northern Europe.

It has been noted that Danes love to spend quality time with family and friends and which often includes good food.  I think I'm going to like it here!

A few fun facts about Denmark:

LEGO was born here! - LEGO started as wooden blocks!
LEGO came into being around 1930, when a Danish carpenter fell on hard times building houses. He supplemented his trade making wooden toys and was so successful that he was soon only making his wooden building blocks. He called the company LEGO, a mix of the Danish words To play and Good. It was the perfect name for a perfectly simple toy. The LEGO that we now know and love around the world was born!

Bluetooth was named after a Danish Viking who literally had a blue tooth!
Harald Bluetooth was known for unifying the Viking chieftains in Scandinavia, making them communicate and cooperate with each other.  This resulted in a period of peace.  Likewise, Bluetooth wireless technology makes different electronic devices communicate with one another.

But as you can see from the map above - our first stop is Israel!!!
