Daisy means Beautiful Everlasting

Evening Gathering

The Daisy flower is everywhere!  It is the official symbol for the Copenhagen convention and I really missed the boat by not bringing one of my MANY yellow dresses!  Might have to go shopping - 🛍

The daisy is also special to the Danes as it is the nickname of the Queen of Denmark.  And apparently all the fine shops have a wide selection of daisy jewelry available for purchase.

The Bellis perennis is a species of daisy and means Beautiful Everlasting.  And that is the deep impression left by the A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. performance delivered by the over 300 volunteers last night.  The wonderful greetings when our bus arrived, followed by the great street fare food.  Then came the songs, the lights, the dancing, the more food.  We didn’t even get to participate in all the other exhibits inside because we had so much fun meeting and getting to know the friends we met along the way.  What a special night that will forever be a glimpse of the future for us.

Since there will still be performances for other delegates over the next week, we were asked to not spoil it for others.  But here are some pics I can share:

Here are some faith building things experiences:
Met a sister, Christine currently serving with her husband in Iceland.  We learned that when they arrived to the area where they live in Iceland, they were the only two publishers.  Now there is a congregation!  When she invited us to look her up if we ever find ourselves in Iceland.  She said she’s the only Christine on the island! 😂

This production has been so important for the Danes.  It has taught them (and us by extension) to rely on Jehovah.  They needed mics for the performance at a certain budget.  Got many estimates - all over budget.  Prayed to Jehovah - a new company called the brothers and said they had not submitted their quote yet.  Under budget!

Went to the Danish Royal Theatre to get some tutoring on how to handle the transitions between all the different sets.  As they described this plan to the Theatre company, they said it was impossible.  But as you already know - we have seen - all things are possible with Jehovah.  I hope someone from the Theatre company came to see this “impossible” feat come to life.

Lastly, they searched for a certain kind of carpet, at a specific dimension again at a set price.  All estimates came in over budget once again.  Then, one day, the Danish Royal Theatre called to see if the brothers could, by chance, need a carpet for their production.  They informed that they needed a special kind of carpet but it had to be cut to a exact size and their budget was limited.  The Theatre said this carpet was the kind and size needed and since the Theatre was in the middle of a remodel, there would be no charge.

This dear sister was so excited for me to try my first flødeboller.  She said it was her favorite dessert - a Danish specialty.  It tasted like a light fluffy marshmallow cream covered in chocolate.

To cap off the night - we saw a lunar eclipse on our ride home.  What a perfect treat at the end of a perfect night. 🌚
