No more falafel for you!

The Journey from Israel to Copenhagen

Through a seeming unending levels of security checks, we made it to the Food court.  After paying way too much for a burger, fries and a drink - we got to our departure gate.  Who’s ready for Copenhagen?

A late departure from Tel Aviv made for a very tight connection in Zurich.  We made the flight as Stacy showed us that his new shoes feel like sneakers and can move like them too! (There’s so much more to this, but you’ll have to wait for our bloopers blog to get the other part of that story).

Yes, we made it - but Stacy’s luggage did not! 😡 It was left behind in Zurich and all he had was the emergency pack Swiss airlines gave him at the airport.  Disappointment soon disappeared though as we exited baggage claim to a see so many of our friends awaiting our arrival at 11pm!!!  One brother had been there for 11 hours taking care of arriving convention delegates.  They seemed tireless as they waved and hugged and welcomed us.  It was a wonderful reminder to not allow little inconveniences overshadow the many blessings we have.

One brother was holding a sign with our name - he was our private driver to take us to our hotel.  He had been working all day prior with the cleaning the stadium.  He had bottled water, gifts and many funny stories to share.  The stadium has been used periodically over the years by the witnesses.  Apparently, during the last pre-cleaning, a brother found one of our convention programs from the prior convention - 6 years prior!

So after the laughs, we arrived at the hotel to some spectacular views and I got busy with laundry while trying to get my mind right for another early morning wake up call.
