🎶 I love you even though I never met you before 🎵

Well, we did see some friends that we knew before the convention, but we made a ton of new friends.  And Stacy has already declared that we are going to visit our new friends in Brazil!  But we are so close to Sweden - maybe we should take a few more days and check that out while we’re here. . .

Have you been to the convention yet?

Don’t worry!!  There will be no spoilers in this blog post.  Just pictures and video (hopefully) to share the exciting atmosphere here at the IC in Copenhagen. We were forwarded that the Danish culture is not very affectionate with those they don’t know very well.  So we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by hugs and even a few kisses whenever we meet.  And we have since learned that the Danish friends completed a one-week international cultural training course to know how to greet us!  Now that’s love in action - getting out of their comfort zone to make us feel welcome. 🤗 Now what does come naturally to the Danes is how to party. This is a sample of our greeting at 8am on the first day of the convention: This jazzed up version of the song was necessary because the arriving delegates were causing a traffic jam along the bike path that went around the stadium area.  But that’s what happens when you break out a live band and add a hu...

Hopefully you have already figured out the blog moniker by now.  And thanks for all the words of appreciation as we’ve traveled from C ( C apernaum) 2 (to) C ( C openhagen).  Our journey is almost over - so here is a combo post of some more beautiful sights from the many cities we have explored. Flora (aka flowers) Fauna (aka animals)

After the castle tour, my travel companions humored me with a private detour through the streets of Copenhagen.  I had two destinations on my short list, but there was so much more in store.  First stop: Nyhavn (New Harbor). One of the local friends escorted us to the nearby metro station as he was heading out to meet his wife.  We got our tickets, boarded the train, and were off in less than 5 minutes.  But once we came up from the train station into the main square - it was like we landed in another world.  There were people everywhere - and it seemed as if most were Jehovah’s Witnesses from every tribe and nation. After walking around and enjoying meeting new friends every 100 feet (and we had just missed an impromptu JW concert in the park), we decided to try to find the famous Tivoli park.  We followed the street signs and directions as best we could but it was most helpful to get to check our coordinates with the local fri...

And they will build houses. . .

Today, we enjoyed the Frederiksborg Castle Tour.  It is located about an hour outside of the city and it’s over 400 years old.  It has a rich history - But it’s a fake! Thieves in the temple : The castle was captured by the Swedes in 1659 and the queen of Sweden loved the fountain so much that when the Danish Royal family returned, they found that the queen had taken it with her.  So they had to replace it. Even still, it is the oldest working fountain in Denmark. The roof is on fire 🔥: One cold night in 1859, fire broke out.  The lake was frozen and the only available water was in the kitchen. Massive destruction resulted and it took 25 years to rebuild. Previously, many walls were leather - now just painted to look like the real thing.  Even still, it is magnificent. So why did we come here again?   King Christian IV built this castle and it is apparent that he had a fondness for Jehovah’s name. We found the divine name in ei...
